What's in the box

The fountain: sealed clean-water reservoir, white top housing, removable 304 stainless steel drinking tray, sealed used-water tank, silent pump. Plus the USB-C charging cable and a first-week adoption card. No filters. Nothing to reorder. Setup takes about five minutes: rinse, fill, plug in.

How the filterless system works

Every ordinary fountain shares one body of water. What your dog drinks tonight has already been through her mouth this morning, and a carbon filter sits in it pretending to fix that. Crunchy splits the water in two: a sealed clean tank the pump lives inside, and a separate sealed used tank that catches everything that leaves the tray. The tray drains completely and refills on a schedule, every 6, 8 or 12 hours. Nothing recirculates. So there's nothing left for a filter to do.

Cleaning: five minutes a week

Weekly: dump the used tank, rinse the stainless tray under the tap, wipe once, refill the clean side. Monthly: wipe the pump port. Every three months on hard water: run one vinegar-water cycle and drain. No disassembly, no bottle brush, no vinegar soak that never quite works.

Shipping, trial & warranty

Free tracked, insured shipping, dispatched within 24 hours. 60 days at home: if she won't drink from it, or you don't love it, send it back for a full refund. Every fountain carries a 1-year warranty; Lifetime Care+ extends that to full pump replacement for the life of the fountain.

Will he actually drink more from it?

Owners consistently report doubled water intake within the first week. Dogs are drawn to moving water and reject standing bowls that taste stale, which is why yours drinks from the tap and the toilet. If he still won't drink from it after 60 days, we refund everything.

Small dogs, big dogs, multi-pet homes

Built around dogs: tray height, drinking surface, capacity. A large dog drinks 1 to 2 litres a day, and one fill of the sealed tank covers several days for one dog or a couple of days for two. Small dogs, cats and multi-pet homes use it happily. You just refill less often.

Clean water. More drinking. More years.

Dehydration sits quietly behind kidney disease, urinary crystals and the slow senior decline. You can't force him to drink. You can give him water worth drinking.

How it works

Four parts. One job each. None of them a filter.

Every other fountain runs one bowl of water in a loop: pump, filter and everything her mouth left behind, all in the same water. We split it into two sealed chambers that never meet.

1Cutaway of the Crunchy Fountain showing the sealed clean tank.

Sealed clean tank

The pump lives in here. This water has never touched her mouth, her hair, or the room.

2A dog drinking from the 304 stainless steel tray.

304 stainless tray

Lifts straight out. Rinses under the tap in ten seconds. Nothing porous for pink film to hold onto.

3The tray refilling from the sealed tank.

The six-second refill

Every 6, 8 or 12 hours the tray drains completely and refills from the sealed tank. She never drinks yesterday's water.

Sealed used tank

Whatever leaves the tray lands here, one way, sealed off from the fresh side. You tip it out once a week.

Yorkie (7 lbs) + Pitbull (60 lbs) share it. With bowls, food particles would fall to the bottom and I was cleaning constantly. Now I don't.

Why it's better for dog health

What changes when he drinks twice as much.

Owners on filterless fountains report doubled water intake in the first week. Here is what that does, one organ at a time.

Kidneys, keeping upThe three words every vet says

Kidney disease is a leading cause of death in senior dogs. The most repeated vet advice is not a drug, it is more water in. Shirl's 13-year-old shepherd went from "get more water into him" to kidney numbers back down within a week of drinking from a sealed tank.

Fewer crystalsDilute urine, on purpose

Urinary crystals form in concentrated urine. More water in means more dilute urine out. It is the mechanism your vet keeps drawing on the whiteboard, delivered by a tray he actually goes back to.

Senior comfortHe will still walk to fresh water

An older dog who refuses the day-old bowl will still walk to a tray of fresh water. You stop counting how many times he drank today, because the answer stops being "I'm not sure."

The toilet drinkerHe was never being weird

Dogs who bypass the bowl for the tap or the toilet are telling you the standing water tastes stale. Moving, fresh, silent water in a stainless tray is the one thing they switch to. Owners tell us tap-only dogs switched inside the first week. If yours doesn't, we refund it.

Your first month

Your first 30 days with Crunchy.

It's built to be forgotten, not managed. Here is how the month tends to go.

Day 1: five minutes
  • Rinse, fill, plug in. That's the setup.
  • The motion sensor wakes the tray as he walks up.
  • The first six-second refill is the only sound you'll hear.
Days 3 to 7: the switch
  • Tap-only and toilet-only dogs switch. Owners report it inside the first week.
  • Water intake roughly doubles. The old bowl stops getting topped up.
  • Nothing to refill three times a day.
Week 2: the first rinse
  • Tip the used tank, rinse the tray under the tap, refill the clean side. About five minutes.
  • No pink film. No bottle brush. No vinegar soak.
  • No filter light. Nothing to reorder.
Week 4 and on: forgotten
  • One charge every 15 days or so.
  • Hard water? One vinegar cycle a quarter. Ten minutes, no disassembly.
  • The vet asks if he's drinking. For once, yes.

Why filterless

5 reasons the filter had to go.

Every fountain on the shelf shares one body of water between the bowl, the pump, the filter and the dog. That is the whole problem.

A slimy used carbon filter pad held over a sink.
Reason 1

Carbon pads quit in two weeks, then sit in his water for four more

They don't reduce bacteria. They host it. Then the auto-ship takes $28 for another one. We took the filter out and put a second sealed tank there.

Hair and slime wrapped around a fountain pump impeller.
Reason 2

The pump never touches what he backwashes

In a shared-water fountain the pump sits in hair, saliva and crumbs. Cheap pumps die in months. Ours lives sealed inside the clean tank.

Fresh water rippling in the stainless tray.
Reason 3

Fresh water on a schedule, not recycled water polished by a pad

The tray drains completely and refills from the sealed tank every 6, 8 or 12 hours. Nothing pools for days. Nothing grows.

A dog asleep next to the fountain in a living room at night.
Reason 4

Silent, and there is no cord to trip on

Under 25 dB idle. USB-C, 15 days a charge. It runs in the bedroom and nobody notices, including the dog.

The stainless tray held under a kitchen tap.
Reason 5

Stainless, not plastic

304 steel lifts out in one piece and rinses in seconds. Pink slime needs a porous surface and standing water. It gets neither.
